Mint is shutting down. What now?

November 2, 2023 ᐧ 3 minutes

On October 31, 2023, Intuit announced that it’s shutting down Mint in favor of Credit Karma. In response, the internet is searching for alternatives and some Mint competitors are clamoring to acquire their customers.

Mint was founded in 2006 and has evolved to do many things. Because of this, it’s difficult to recommend a single product that can fully replace it. Based on our research, most people use Mint for a specific feature.

At Spend, we’ve been keeping a list of all the personal finance apps out there. We thought it might be useful to take inventory of Mint’s features and recommend alternatives. The recommendations are based on the apps we’ve tried and think work well-enough for you to give a try as well but peek the full list if you want a more exhaustive and impartial list. At the bottom, you’ll also see a summary of pricing and trial options for each option.

Please note: we are not paid to promote any of these companies, not even our own (which is free!)
